About Our Project

Developed by Families and Clinicians, For Families

Focused on Supporting Families in Need.

We understand the unique challenges faced by families affected by psychotic illness, and we are here to help.

Our program is dedicated to supporting families navigating the challenges of serious mental illness (SMI) by providing evidence-based, family-centered education and resources. Grounded in the latest research and developed in partnership with mental health experts, our goal is to enhance family resilience, improve mental health outcomes, and reduce the revolving door phenomenon associated with SMI.

What we do

Our program is dedicated to providing support through education to individuals who are supporting a young adult with psychosis. We understand the challenges and complexities that come with this role, and our program is specifically designed to empower participants with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively navigate this journey.

Our program is built upon a strong foundation of lived experience and expert knowledge. We bring together a diverse team of healthcare professionals who specialize in mental health, as well as individuals who have personal experience in supporting their own loved ones with psychosis. This unique combination allows us to offer a comprehensive and holistic approach to education and support.

Our interactive and informative nine-week course covers a wide range of topics related to psychosis. Participants will gain valuable insights into effective communication strategies, self-care techniques, understanding the biology of psychosis, and much more. Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to address the specific needs and challenges faced by individuals in this role.

To ensure the continuous improvement of our program and contribute to the field of mental health, our course is currently being conducted as a research study. Participation in the course requires active involvement in the study. By participating, individuals not only benefit from the knowledge and support provided but also contribute to the advancement of research in this important area.

Join us on this journey as we work together to enhance understanding, build resilience, and create a positive impact in the lives of those supporting loved ones with psychosis.
